Further information:

The problem happens only with JSmol-WebGL. What is puzzling me is that 
it is capable of rendering the dashed bonds (If I issue the connect 
command from the console) and that the rendering is outdated correctly 
as soon as I choose any option in the pop-up menu (open console, toggle 
spin, show file contents...)
