From my point of view there are operations that can ONLY be done using Java.jar such as processing a cube file which is > 100 mbyte in size (they can grow to 1G byte) But $250 pa is too much to pay for doing that! It would be good to have some idea of how browser-based JSmol might be able to handle large cube files though! Is there a JavaScript RTE equivalent that could be used to invoke JSmol outside of a browser?
