Dear Jmolers, I have a webpage using JSmol that has a user option to save the model either as a MOLfile or an image. I am using write coord "?myfilename.mol"; write image pngt 2 "?myfilename.png"; write image jpg 75 "?myfilename.jpg"; In Firefox, a dialog is opened by the browser, with the suggested filename and extension that may be accepted or changed. Then the browser asks Save or Open and the destination folder (if configured to do so, otherwise downloads to the default folder). The filename is preserved. In Chrome (either from server or with the "allow access to local files" on), the same happens but in the final stage Chrome discards the filename and uses "download.txt", "download.png" or "download" w/o extension if it's a JPG Any hints as to how to avoid this? I've tested changing the file extension (as I am always specifying the format in Jmolscript) without any effect. JSmol is 14.1.16, from 23 May |
