Here you go! -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Call for Papers: Modeling symposium at Fall ACS meeting Date: Thu, 14 Feb 2008 20:20:56 -0500 From: Lisa Bell-Loncella <etbell+@PITT.EDU> Reply-To: Chemistry Education Discussion List <CHEMED-L@MAILER.UWF.EDU> Organization: University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown To: CHEMED-L@MAILER.UWF.EDU References: <CHEMED-L%200802140000226180.37C1@MAILER.UWF.EDU> Call for abstract submission to the symposium on modeling and molecular visualization for the fall ACS in Philadelphia, PA, August 17-21, 2008. The title of the symposium is "Computation, modeling and molecular visualization across the chemistry curriculum." A brief description is given below: This symposium will highlight the various ways the faculty have used visualization, simulation, molecular modeling, mathematical software and related computational methods to enhance and expand the learning experience in the undergraduate chemistry curriculum – in the classroom, the laboratory and in research. Papers describing specific activities for individual courses as well as department initiatives to integrate computation across the curriculum will be considered. Abstract submission is via OASYS (http://oasys.acs.org/acs/236nm/ched/papers/index.cgi). The deadline for abstract submission is midnight (Eastern Standard time) March 24, 2008. I welcome and look forward to your submission to this symposium. If I can answer any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by either e-mail (et...@pi...) or telephone (814-269-2904). I look forward to seeing you in Philadelphia, -- Lisa -- ****************************************************************** Lisa Bell-Loncella, Ph. D. Associate Professor and Chair Email: et...@pi...
