1. write history command - the written history file includes the command to "write history" with the same file name - this will lead to the file overwriting itself. If you are editing the file and do not realize that, you'll be overwriting the original file you wrote, which may not be desirable. If the history includes a write state command, the same thing will happen to your state file.
