Hi! firstly thanks for a great interface,
I'd like to suggest you add multiple consoles, and make it
possible to bind shouts, and channel tells to it, the reason i
like this feature is because i tend to be in allot of channels,
and along with sshout's and shout's it's hard to keep track
of what's going on, and even more so when your watching
a game with allot of whispers and kibitzes.

Thank you.

Great idea, id like to see that as well. Hopefully a console
will, in the future, appear under game windows as well so I
can follow my chess lessons with Mr. Spock instead of
clicking and switching back and forth.

Absolutely - if each board had a console attached to it with kibs and whispers bound to that board it would be great. (Especially useful for observing games, and for lessons.) Jin is excellent in all other respects, but the lack of this feature means I keep using BlitzIn for the moment. Thankyou. SpanishFly (ICC)

Thank you and congratulations for this great interface! I
moved to Linux recently, and having tried other interfaces
and after messing around with Wine and older versions of
BlitzIn, I must say this is the best choice for those of us
who "grew up" with ICC's BlitzIn but do not want to use
Windows any longer. I agree, however, with the previous
comments: the ability to have detachable channel-specific
consoles and game-specific board consoles is a must.. (In
BlitzIn, I usually keep open 6 channel consoles, and several
board consoles during relayed events. Also, preset user
buttons would be nice. Thanks again. Haddock@ICC

This is also one of my favourite feauture wishes. It can get really messy
sometimes with all output in one window, even though the colors help
    alot.

Add a "Talk to $username" item into the console popup menu when this is
    implemented.

    Yes please!
I haven't been able to find any client that will run under linux, that has the
possibility of sorting the whispers and kibitzes to seperate consoles, making
it humanly possible to observe several games at once.

    This feature would be great!

The lack of multiple consoles in Jin is really making me sad:(. I think it
would be very, very useful and it would bring even more users to jin. Do
you intend to do it in future or you decided that it is not worth doing?

This is certainly something I intend to implement.

Here's an idea... I think multiple consoles could be
implemented by having Jin sending "console hints" as tells
    to itself.

Let's say the current user's name is Jeeves and Jeeves
executes the command "finger" in Console 2.

    "tell Jeeves ##JIN-CONSOLE-2-BEGIN##
    "finger"
    "tell Jeeves ##JIN-CONSOLE-2-END##

The server would naturally process the command in order. So
    Jin would receive:

    "Jeeves tells you: ##JIN-CONSOLE-2-BEGIN##"
    "...finger results..."
    "Jeeves tells you: ##JIN-CONSOLE-2-END##"

Jin would then supress display of the "console-hints" tells,
using the hints to set an internal variable indicating to
which console the next output should go.

With that said, I've never been a fan of having commands
executable in any console. I personally prefer having only
    3 kinds of consoles:
    1. The main console where ALL commands are run.
    2. The board chat console for in game chat.
    3. Chat consoles for chat.

In such a system, the multi-console approach described above
    would never be needed.

For the record, that last comment was me. I just wasn't
