"Number of Pages to follow this coversheet:?" This is
what I am getting when I send fax using JHylaFAX 1.3.7.
How do I repair this? Please find the file attached
here with.
I am using Windows XP professional SP2. I tried using my
own .ps file which is working with WHFC. But with that
also I got the same error and I did use internal fax cover
also - same problem with that too...I need this client to
work because this has more than one file attachment
feature...please help....

If you send the cover page only the number of pages is set
to '?'. Otherwise the attached postscript documents are
scaned for lines that start with '%%Page'.

OK, so does this mean that I will never get the actual
number and I will always keep getting "?". Shall I accept
this as the limitation? Reason being cover sheet is the one
which tells the person how many pages have been faxed to
him...any ways...this client is perfect for my needs...
except this pages following number feature...Problem....

The latex style the cover page is based on replaces the
page count by a ? if
it equals 0 (unless zeroPcountStr is redefined):
\newcommand{\pagecount}{\special{ps: page-count (0) eq
{zeroPcountStr}{page-count} ifelse show }}
It should not be hard to adapt the cover page and JHylaFAX
to use -1 as
the "magic number" for an unknown page count so 0 can be
displayed in case
the page count is known to actually be zero.

I also have this problem - and it's not only when I send the cover page alone I'm afraid.
Just this evening I sent a fax with a .pdf-document attached. The .pdf was 2 pages. On the fax cover it says "# of pages ?" (I use the internal because I get all kinds of error messages when I use my own .ps-template).

What operating system you are using? Did you specify a
valid postscript file as the document?
