Open Track

Opens a gps track file. Currently following file types are supported:

• Garmin GPX Route
• Garmin GPX Track
• Garmin TCX
• KML

The type of the gps track file is determined automatically. After loading the map view is zoomed to display the loaded track.

Open GPSies.com Track

Opens a dialog window with various options to search and load gps tracks from http://www.gpsies.com.

How to use the GPSies.com dialog window:

1. First choose one of the query options on the left side of the dialog window:
   • User name allows you to enter your user name on GPSies.com
   • Current map view: Searches all gps tracks on current view of the map
   • Center of current view: Type in a perimeter in km, the search will deliver all tracks within the given perimeter. Center is the center of the current map view.
   • ZIP: Zip of a city. You should also select a country.
   • City: Name of a city.
   • Country (optional): In addition you may select a country to constrain your search
   • Track property (optional): You may add a track property to further constrain your search.
   • Track types (optional): You may add a track type to further constrain your search.
   • Search limit: You may limit the number of found tracks in the table on the right side of the dialog window.
2. Start the search by pushing the "Search Tracks" button. The search may take some time. An active internet connection is necessary to use this function.
3. In the table on the right side of the dialog window you may select one or more tracks which should be opened. Tip: If you hold your mouse cursor over the description column of a track, the whole description will appear. You may also double-click to enter the edit-mode to copy and paste the text of the description.
4. To load all selected tracks push the "Load Selected Tracks" button. Now the selected tracks will be loaded step by step, this may take some time! You may stop the loading process by pushing the "Stop Loading" button.
5. After loading has been finished you may choose to change your query parameters and search for more tracks or exit from the dialog window by pushing the "Close" button.

Open Directory

All gps track files of the choosen directory are opened. The type of the files is automatically detected. The opening operation may take some time.

Save

Saves the selected gps track in the original track file type on the file system. It is recommended to use the "Save As" function to save gps tracks.

Save As

Saves the selected gps track. You may choose the directory, name of the track file and the track file type. Currently following file types are supported:

• Garmin GPX Route
• Garmin GPX Track
• KML

Close

Closes the selected gps track.

Configuration

Opens the [configuration] dialog window.

Exit

Exits JGPSTrackEdit.
