Hello, I'm facing strange problem with jfs /usr filesystem. I cannot mount it in rw mode - kernel oops is generated, but "mount -r" works just fine. fsck.jfs -f /dev/mapper/Linux-suseUsr works flawlessly => no error found. The kernel is 2.6.5-rc3, jfsutils is 1.1.5, the /usr volume is created over LVM2 2.0.8 but metadata format is lvm1. I'm unable to copy whole oops message, but the most important thing is (in my opinion): EIP is at lmNextPage+0x1b/0x130 [jfs] Process mount Call Trace: [<d8cf4c14>] lmLogInit+0x4f4/0x550 [jfs] read_cache_page mempool_free release_metapage lmLogOpen dbUmount jfs_mount_rw jfs_remount do_remount_sb do_mount handle_mm_fault __alloc_pages copy_mount_options sys_mount syscall_call After booting 2.4.21-199 standard SuSe 9 kernel, it works OK (can be mounted in rw mode). And then, after booting 2.6.5-rc3 again, everything is OK. Best regards, Janusz |
