JFree.org is pleased to announce the immediate availability of JFreeChart 1.0.7, a free (LGPL) chart library for the Java platform (1.3.1 or later).

This release features the promotion of the DialPlot and LogAxis classes into the main API (previously in experimental), a new renderer for fitting spline curves to data points, an option for "simple" labeling on pie charts, many improvements to the statistical dataset implementations, numerous other improvements all over, and the usual slew of bugfixes.

JFreeChart 1.0.2 Released

We are pleased to announce the immediate availability of JFreeChart version 1.0.2. This release features a range of usability enhancements in the API, two new array-based dataset classes, various performance enhancements in the renderer classes, and numerous bug fixes. In addition, the distribution includes some new experimental classes, including support for the Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT) via a custom SWTGraphics2D class, a new LogAxis class and a block renderer. JFreeChart 1.0.0-pre2 released

A new release of JFreeChart (1.0.0-pre2) is now available for download. Please note that there are a number of API changes in this release (refer to the CHANGELOG.txt file for details) and ALL deprecated methods have been removed in preparation for the 1.0.0 release. The plan is for the next version to be a "release candidate" for 1.0.0-final. Please report any bugs you find in this release.

JFreeChart 0.9.21 released

A new release of JFreeChart (0.9.21) is now available for download. This release includes two new axes (PeriodAxis and ModuloAxis), reorganised packages under org.jfree.chart.renderer and org.jfree.data, a new "umbrella" demo that makes it easier to browse the numerous JFreeChart demo applications, and a number of bug fixes.

JFreeChart 0.9.19 released

A new version of JFreeChart is now available to download. Changes include:

+ added methods to XYDataset that return double primitives;
+ removed distinction between "primary" and "secondary" datasets, renderers and axes;
+ added fixed legend item options to CategoryPlot and XYPlot;
+ legend enhancements by Barek Naveh;
+ removed Log4j dependency;
+ many, many bug fixes;

JFreeChart 0.9.17 released

New features include:

- pie chart enhancements for labelling, shading and multiple pie
charts (2D or 3D) on a single plot;
- new PolarPlot class added;
- XYSeries can now be sorted or unsorted;
- createBufferedImage() method can now scale charts;
- domain and range markers now support intervals;
- item labels are now supported by some XYItemRenderers;
- tooltip and item label generators now use MessageFormat class;
- added new XYBarDataset class;
- added transparency support to PNG export;

JFreeChart 0.9.16 released

A new version of JFreeChart is now available. This release contains bug fixes and some minor feature enhancements (title and category label wrapping, legend shape scaling, enhanced performance for the DefaultTableXYDataset class and new Spanish localisation files). JFreeChart is a class library, written in Java, for generating charts. Utilising the Java2D APIs, it currently supports bar charts, pie charts, line charts, XY-plots and time series plots.

JFreeChart 0.9.14 released

- implemented zooming for the FastScatterPlot class;
- added item label support for stacked bar charts, and new fall back options for item labels that don't fit within bars;
- modified the CategoryAxis class to allow additional options for the alignment and rotation of category labels;
- addition of the AxisState class, used in the drawing of axes to eliminate a bug when multiple threads draw the same axis simultaneously;
- provided additional attributes in the DateTickUnit class to improve labelling on a segmented DateAxis;
- added support for GradientPaint in bar charts;
- updated the PNGEncoder;
- fixes for tick label positioning on axes;
- various Javadoc updates;
- numerous bug fixes;
