Hi Gerwin and Régis, I'd like to merge PR #540 (Unicode 10.0 support) to master, but can't until we've either released 1.7.1 or decided to skip it in favor of 1.8.0. (Because the Add_Unicode-10.0 branch has many fixes related to recent code reorganization in addition to the Unicode 10.0 support, it would be awkward to move forward with Unicode 11.0 support until after I've merged.) Another alternative: make a new branch for 1.7.1 (starting at the current master). This would allow me to merge 1.8.0-targetted stuff without being blocked by the 1.7.1 release. We could also delay branching for now if we decide that a 1.7.1 release is not warranted at this point, and then create the branch later if we change our minds. Thoughts? Steve |
