I was away for a while... and I'll be away again soon! So, I'll answer 
to your first question.

In file international.svg line 173 your wrote:

If want jDip to display the brief labels or the full ones, you have to 
set one of the two values to true.

For the second answer, you must ask to Zach Del (that is the project 
admin) or to someone of the developers.
