I am using the ARClib writer on windows 2000/XP Gmini 220. Very glad to see this program because it is reasonably speedy and miles ahead of Musicmatch.
I would like to suggest adding an "all tracks" list to each artist entry so that you can easily do a shuffle of, say, all "U2" songs (substitute your favorite artist).
A noticable problem on the Gmini 220 is that there are corrupted entries in the Arclibrary. Perhaps the file name or title or path are too long for the CPU to handle. When you try to play these songs from the Arclibrary they won't play. In shuffe mode the unit just stops playing and eventually turns off. Any way to test for this potential problem while writing the library would be a benefit.
Regards,
Rex

Hello Rex the feature of adding all tracks of one artist is really cool. I might add it in one of the next releases. It's true that there are sometimes corrupted entries in the ARClib one problem I found was that the ARClibWriter doesn't handle international characters correctly that's one reason for the problems, but I haven't been abe to analyse the problems you describe. Can you reproduce it, I mean does it happen always or is it at random that the problems occure. I think the problem is that the ARClib never really worked so nobody even Archos ever tested it on the Gminis
To prevent these problems I really would need specific numbers about how long entries are allowed to be. If you can provied some of your information and maybe even send me your Arclib file which was written to the Gmini that be great.
