Hello, I'm using Jcharts for a project that needs French and English localization. I'm using the following lines of code to add ($) to the values of my charts: DataAxisProperties dataAxisProperties= (DataAxisProperties) axisProperties.getYAxisProperties(); dataAxisProperties.setUseDollarSigns( true ); For English it works perfectly (for example $93,708) , but for French I need a different currency formatting (it would be 93 708 $) the locale by the way is CANADA.FRENCH It's there a way to set the locale in Jcharts? The explanation in the user guide is quite vague: "Add Currency Signs to the values on the value axis. This will use your localized Currency." What does it means by localized Currency? Any help I would really appreciate it! -- Luis GUZMAN Web Developer lui...@bl... http://www.bluerush.ca <http://www.bluerush.ca/> 514.935.3144 ext. 317 |

Hi! I need to have from 0% to 100% x-axis boundary values. --> 0% 10% 20$ ..... 100%. The data is: double[][] data= new double[][]{ {49}, {1}, {50}}; ..... dataAxisProperties.setUserDefinedScale(0d, 10d); dataAxisProperties.setShowEndBorder(false); dataAxisProperties.setRoundToNearest(0); dataAxisProperties.setNumItems(10); But i get values from 0% to 9000%. Please Help! Thank you. |

Does JCharts have the ability to send Charts, from a Java program, to a web visible file format, like GIF,JPG,PNG? |

The JCharts library currently appears to include tentative support for 3D pie charts. Are there any plans to include 3D in other kinds of charts, which are already implemented in 3D, for example? |

Hi, i use Icefaces which uses the 1.0.0 alpha version of jcharts. I would like to set custom scale values for the Y axis. But when I use this code nothing happends: AxisChart axisChart = new AxisChart(dataSeries, chartProperties, axisProperties, legendProperties, 400, 350); // Set custom Y scale YAxis yAxis = new YAxis(axisChart, computeNumberOfScaleItems()); UserDefinedScaleCalculator scaleCalculator = new UserDefinedScaleCalculator(yMinScaleValue, 0.5); scaleCalculator.setNumberOfScaleItems(computeNumberOfScaleItems()); scaleCalculator.setMaxValue(yMaxScaleValue); scaleCalculator.setMinValue(yMinScaleValue); yAxis.setScaleCalculator(scaleCalculator); axisChart = yAxis.getAxisChart(); but it does not work. Can anyone help me? Best regards Zeb. |

I deployed the example jar (jChartsServletExamples.war) in Tomcat 5.5. I see the options on the index.html page. I don't see any charts when I select them. Hello there I would greatly appreciate a small amount of your time to assist with my doctoral research at The University of Newcastle. The research concerns open source licensing and we're seeking developers working on Java projects. The research is supervised, ethics-approved, anonymous and results will be freely available. Participation will also provide a custom licensing report for your project. To learn more, please visit: http://licensing-research.newcastle.edu.au Thanks for reading this email, and I hope you'll consider participating. Best regards Ben Alex (My apologies for being off-topic; this list will not be emailed again) |

Is anyone supporting jCharts? I found two bugs: 1. If you call setAxisTitleChartFont to a much larger size, e.g. 24 pt, it's easy to see that it's not calculating the width properly. Seems it's using the value from setTitleChartFont to calculate the width of the Axis Title, which is in correct. (i.e. setTitleChartFont is used to calculate the width for centering, but setAxisTitleChartFont is used when rendering.) 2. I have a simple bar chart with 40 bars (arranged as vertical bars.) The issue is that the label isn't printed for the last bar only, all of the others have a label. Increasing the padding to 10 px seemed to fix it, but it sounds like a calculation is off by one. -Norman |

[Apologies for the off-topic message; no further emails will be sent] You are invited to participate in an academic research project that I am conducting into open source component licensing. The research is part of my Doctorate of Business Administration degree at the University of Newcastle, Australia, and is being supervised by Dr Len Whitehouse. The research is entirely non-commercial, and full results will be made freely available to any person who is interested. It is hoped that the research will offer useful information about how component licensing is approached in practice. We are looking for Java software developers who are working on either commercial or open source projects. Participation in the research is entirely voluntary, and privacy has been carefully addressed to ensure that participants cannot be identified. The research has received an ethics clearance from the university. Participation will usually take less than 30 minutes. If you participate, you may optionally view a licensing compliance assessment report for your project. This may be of general interest or assist in planning licensing compliance strategies. If you are interested in learning more about the research, please visit http://research.acegitech.com. At that location you will find the Research Information Sheet that fully explains the research and provides you with details on how to participate or ask further questions. Please note that data collection is scheduled to end on 4 June 2007. Thank you for taking the time to read this email, and I hope that you will consider participating. Kind regards Ben Alex |

Hi! I am writing a program which reads data from a file and then plots it as an XYSeries. Now the problem is that I want to add a vertical line at 1/e How to do it without?
