I have a chart that has a range from 0 to 100, and all of the data of the chart is 0. The problem is that the line that graphs the "0" data is painting behind the x-axis. Is there a known issue/fix for this? I am currently using version 0.7.5. Thanks. Bao Le |

Hi Guys, I'm new to jcharts and i'm trying to use it in a java applet. what I need is to be able to have an Interactive stockChart so when user clicks with the mouse on the chart then it will get the corresponding x-axis value and draw a vertical line for this x value. I think this could be acheived using event handlings but not quit sure. is there a way to implement this functionality ? thanks for helping. |

Hello everyone, I was writing my 1st line chart java class by copy-pasting most of the code on the line chart example. I got an error when defining instantiating AxisChart : AxisChart axisChart= new AxisChart( dataSeries, chartProperties, axisProperties, legendProperties, AxisCharts.width, AxisCharts.height ); But there are no width/height properties defined for AxisChart. Though they exists as private properties in its superclass. I cant compile my code. I would greatly appriciate any help/advice. Hello i'm using jcharts inside a very simple swing application (only a jpanel) i want to display a clustered-bar chart. I posted the code i wrote here: http://veleno.pastebin.com/302366 The problem is that the chart is not rendered properly (by default, th window is empty) and only when i try to resize the window, i can see it, but it disappear again if i resize it again (and when i say "resize" i'm saying in a "random-moving-fashion, that's to say that if i resize it the same way twice, i possibly don't get the chart rendered). Any idea? I'm using latest 0.7.x (0.7.5), and java 1.5, linux. Thanks Valerio |

Hi, We are noticing a significant performance hit (charts taking seconds to render as opposed to 100-200 ms) when running jcharts under Linux (Fedora Core 3, 2.6 kernel, JDK1.4.2, Tomcat 5.0) compared to our development boxes running Windows XP SP2. The linux box and windows machines are of comparable hardware spec. Is there anything we can do to improve this? The Linux machine is not running X, if that is of any importance? Thanks, Ben |

Hi, I am creating a bar chart which will only have values between -1 and 1. By default the scale of the Y axis is 4 points in increments of 1, so you can imagine what a value of 0.2 looks like... I did see I can extend ScaleCalculator, but I cannot find anywhere to attach this to my chart. What can I do to make the y axis run between 0 and 1 with .2 increments? Cheers, Bas. |

I have gone thru some postings requesting the solution for embedding the JCHARTS in HTML pages. I have tried this and it works fine on TOMCAT. The sample programs provided by JCHARTS simple spit out a image onto the response. But to include the output of the Graph as a embeded element in a JSP or HTML page Simply use a <img src="URL"> Where URL is the URL to the Servlet or JSP that generates the Chart. Cheers, Srikanth Nandiraju. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com |
