The JVM itself crashed.. that's what the "hs_" file is (a hotspot error file) Try using the 1.3.1 JVM -- I thought I read that jboss 4.x was supporting the 1.4 JVM, while jboss 3.x only supported the 1.3 JVM.. (could be wrong on that, but we are successfully running that same bundle on Solaris 8, HP-UX 11.0, HP-UX 11.11, RedHat 9.0, and windows NT/XP/Win2k :) Depending upon your OS, make sure you have all of the JVM patches that vendor requires..
