Hi, We have developed a communication layer based on http that don't use SOAP ( I don't like the idea of the xml serialization ). It allows you to make you call on stateless and statefull beans just like an RMI call. The idea is to use the RMI or Http service factory to retrieve the reference on your EJB the communication layer used then depends on this first choice. We use a simple authentification based on a logon and password stored on the server side in the web session. For the moment we don't encrypt the stream. It works very well. You can try it with webstart and download the code at www.bs-factory.org . We have developed this solution to be independant of the app server but maybe you should try the Jboss http invoker. -- Gaetan Zoritchak Bright Side Factory http://www.bs-factory.com gic...@ed... wrote: > Hello! > > I\'ve posted a similar mail and this one is a more detailed version > of it. > > I am using JBoss 3.2.0 + MySQL 4.0.12. > > My web-app contains some plain entity EJBs masked by a couple of > facades, all within a security domain. > > Until now all the calls to the server where made through a browser > which called a servlet/jsp combo that called the business logic > within the EJBs. > > However, a very delicate and new (for me) problem has arrised.
