jboss-portal-2.0 is an alias that contains jboss-portal + some other CVS modules likewise for 2.2 we have a jboss-portal-2.2 alias do a checkout on the file CVSROOT/modules, this is where the modules are defined View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3883570#3883570 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3883570 |

I took some time last week to blog about the architecture changes in 2.2 and also introduce the architecture we started in 2.0 I found it to be the best way to communicate about that, you can read it here and post comments. http://jboss.org/jbossBlog/blog/jviet/2005/07/04/Architecture_changes_in_JBoss_Portal_2_2_part_1.txt View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3883502#3883502 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3883502 |

Is there any documentation on how to do a scoped .SAR deployment that contains aspects? I am trying to do a scoped .sar deployment that contains in root a jms-aop.xml file and a modified version of jboss-remoting.jar. I deploy the SAR into a JBoss 4.0.2 instance that already contains the standard default/deploy/jboss-aop.deployer AOP deployer and AspectManager instances. The aspects seem to load correctly, but when I am trying make a remote invocation on the scoped Connector, I get this: | 19:04:52,546 DEBUG [ServerThread] failed to process invocation. | java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: No ClassLoaders found for: org.jboss.remoting.InvokerLocator | at org.jboss.mx.loading.LoadMgr3.beginLoadTask(LoadMgr3.java:198) | at org.jboss.mx.loading.RepositoryClassLoader.loadClassImpl(RepositoryClassLoader.java:475) | at org.jboss.mx.loading.RepositoryClassLoader.loadClass(RepositoryClassLoader.java:377) | at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:235) | at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:302) | at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) | at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:219) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.resolveClass(ObjectInputStream.java:558) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readNonProxyDesc(ObjectInputStream.java:1513) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readClassDesc(ObjectInputStream.java:1435) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readOrdinaryObject(ObjectInputStream.java:1626) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject0(ObjectInputStream.java:1274) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject(ObjectInputStream.java:324) | at org.jboss.aop.metadata.SimpleMetaData.readExternal(SimpleMetaData.java:228) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readExternalData(ObjectInputStream.java:1686) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readOrdinaryObject(ObjectInputStream.java:1644) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject0(ObjectInputStream.java:1274) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject(ObjectInputStream.java:324) | at org.jboss.aop.joinpoint.MethodInvocation.readExternal(MethodInvocation.java:232) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readExternalData(ObjectInputStream.java:1686) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readOrdinaryObject(ObjectInputStream.java:1644) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject0(ObjectInputStream.java:1274) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.defaultReadFields(ObjectInputStream.java:1845) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readSerialData(ObjectInputStream.java:1769) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readOrdinaryObject(ObjectInputStream.java:1646) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject0(ObjectInputStream.java:1274) | at java.io.ObjectInputStream.readObject(ObjectInputStream.java:324) | at org.jboss.remoting.marshal.serializable.SerializableUnMarshaller.read(SerializableUnMarshaller.java:73) | at org.jboss.invocation.unified.marshall.InvocationUnMarshaller.read(InvocationUnMarshaller.java:32) | at org.jboss.remoting.transport.socket.ServerThread.processInvocation(ServerThread.java:231) | at org.jboss.remoting.transport.socket.ServerThread.dorun(ServerThread.java:277) | at org.jboss.remoting.transport.socket.ServerThread.run(ServerThread.java:168) | It seems logical, the AOP deployment's UCL cannot load remoting classes, which are scoped. I've now got Aspects that are loaded with a custom classloader working with other classes loaded by the same classloader. What I still can't get working is an aspect defined with a custom-classloaded class to intercept a method in a class loaded by the system classloader. I don't know if what I'm trying to achieve is possible, because it requires runtime instrumentation of a class (though isn't that what the -hotSwap parameter enables?). I've hacked together a quick and nasty test case that demonstrates what I'm trying to achieve: package aoptest; | | import java.io.ByteArrayInputStream; | import java.io.File; | import java.io.FileInputStream; | import java.io.FileOutputStream; | import java.io.InputStream; | import java.lang.reflect.Method; | import java.util.ArrayList; | import java.util.HashMap; | import java.util.List; | import java.util.Map; | import org.jboss.aop.Aspect; | import org.jboss.aop.AspectAnnotationLoader; | import org.jboss.aop.AspectManager; | import org.jboss.aop.Bind; | import org.jboss.aop.joinpoint.MethodInvocation; | | @Aspect public class AOPTest | { | private static final String HELLO_CLASS_SRC = "package aoptest;\n" + | "import org.jboss.aop.Aspect;\n " + | "import org.jboss.aop.Bind;\n " + | "import org.jboss.aop.joinpoint.MethodInvocation;\n " + | "@Aspect public class HelloTest { \n" + | " @Bind (pointcut=\"execution(void aoptest.AOPTest->test())\") \n" + | " public Object injectionAdvice(MethodInvocation invocation) throws Throwable { \n" + | " System.out.println(\"aoptest.HelloTest >>> Intercepted call to AOPTest.test()\"); \n" + | " return invocation.invokeNext(); } \n" + | " @Bind (pointcut=\"execution(void aoptest.AOPTest->test2())\") \n" + | " public Object injection2Advice(MethodInvocation invocation) throws Throwable { \n" + | " System.out.println(\"aoptest.HelloTest >>> Intercepted call to AOPTest.test2()\"); \n" + | " return invocation.invokeNext(); } \n" + | " public void hello() { System.out.println(\"Hello\"); } \n}\n"; | | static Map<String,byte[]> classData = new HashMap<String,byte[]>(); | | static ClassLoader cl; | | public static void main(String[] args) | throws Exception | { | compile(); | | Class helloClass = Class.forName("aoptest.HelloTest", true, cl); | Method helloMethod = helloClass.getMethod("hello", new Class[] {}); | | // Have to include the following lines otherwise the aspects defined in | // aoptest.HelloTest aren't loaded. | ClassLoader sysCl = Thread.currentThread().getContextClassLoader(); | Thread.currentThread().setContextClassLoader(cl); | | // Expected to be intercepted by HelloTest, but isn't. | t.test2(); | } | | public AOPTest() | { | cl = new CustomClassLoader(); | } | | @Bind (pointcut="execution(void aoptest.AOPTest->test())") | public Object injectionAdvice(MethodInvocation invocation) | throws Throwable | { | System.out.println("aoptest.AOPTest >>> Intercepted call to AOPTest.test()"); | return invocation.invokeNext(); | } | | @Bind (pointcut="execution(void aoptest.HelloTest->hello())") | public Object helloInjectionAdvice(MethodInvocation invocation) | throws Throwable | { | System.out.println("aoptest.AOPTest >>> Intercepted call to HelloTest.hello()"); | return invocation.invokeNext(); | } | | public void test() | { | System.out.println("AOPTest.test()"); | } | | public void test2() | { | System.out.println("AOPTest.test2()"); | } | | static void compile() | throws Exception | { | String tmpDir = System.getProperty("java.io.tmpdir").replaceAll("\\\\", "/"); | // Create the source file | File srcDir = new File(tmpDir + "/aoptest"); | if (!srcDir.exists()) | srcDir.mkdir(); | File srcFile = new File(srcDir, "HelloTest.java"); | FileOutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(srcFile); | out.write(HELLO_CLASS_SRC.getBytes()); | out.flush(); | out.close(); | // Compile HelloTest.java | String classPath = org.jboss.aop.Aspect.class.getProtectionDomain().getCodeSource().getLocation().getPath(); | String[] options = new String[] {"-sourcepath", tmpDir, "-source", "1.5", | "-nowarn", "-classpath", classPath, tmpDir + "aoptest/HelloTest.java"}; | com.sun.tools.javac.Main.compile(options); | // Load the class data | File clsFile = new File(srcDir + "/HelloTest.class"); | byte[] data = new byte[(int) clsFile.length()]; | InputStream in = new FileInputStream(clsFile); | int read = 0; | do | { read += in.read(data, read, data.length - read); } | while (read < data.length); | classData.put("aoptest.HelloTest", data); | } | | class CustomClassLoader extends ClassLoader | { | public Class findClass(String name) | { | try | { return Class.forName(name); } | catch (ClassNotFoundException ex) { } | byte[] b = classData.get(name); | if (b != null) | { | try | { return defineClass(name, b, 0, b.length); } | catch (Exception ex1) { } | } | return null; | } | public InputStream getResourceAsStream(String name) | { | if (classData.containsKey(name)) | return new ByteArrayInputStream(classData.get(name)); | else | return getParent().getResourceAsStream(name); | } | } | } | What I'm trying to determine is whether an aspect defined in aoptest.HelloTest (loaded by custom classloader) can intercept a method in AOPTest (loaded by system classloader) that hasn't been previously instrumented. The call to test1() is intercepted as aoptest.AOPTest itself defines an aspect that binds to this method. The call to test2() however doesn't get intercepted. The entire theme functionality is now in its own module "theme". The server and the core modules don't have any more theme code. The core has a new core controller that builds and calls a page invocation with an interceptor stack for layout, theme, strategy , etc. I found this to be cleaner and more flexible. The code compiles (the theme module), but I'm not done with it. Still lots of TODO's The core module still doesn't compile, due to all the api changes all over the place. I'm on vacation this week so don't expect too much change from here ;) View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3883494#3883494 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3883494 |

I've installed the last JDK (jdk1.5.0_04 Update) and jboss-4.0.3RC1, and I'm trying to start the jboss web-console, but it dosen't work!! Calling http://localhost:8080/web-console in the browser , on the left frame side, where normaly the menu of web-console appears, I just see the java logo without happening something!! The applet does not start! On my other pc, I don't have that problem, working with JDK and JRE 5.0 Update 3, and the. I could also notice that the java control panel, which is located in the control panel of the OS, is not exactly running. It seems to be a kind of AWT-Problem. The buttons and other widgets or not shown properly. Maybe this problem is related to the other one?? Does someone else have the same problem? What ist the solution? same jboss (4.03RC1) Thanks. The method is fixed now. There is commented code that uses SharedElements.anyType. I will review it later. The same for XNI parser. I think we can switch to SAX parser now and remove the JBossXBSchemaValidator. Either a client specific dns server, or even hosts file entries will be selected. - Querying a Rendezvous like server - Querying a Sipp server - Looking up the name to address binding in JNDI ... Just anything that allows for centralized management of the client side name resolution as opposed to having to enter the bindings in each client application. I tried to search for the issue, also googlized it, but without any success. In JBoss AOP 1.3 standalone : Compile the "field-execution" example in the jboss 1.3 directory. It runs smoothly. Now rename field "var2" to "_var2" and run it again. I get Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException | at sun.reflect.UnsafeStaticIntegerFieldAccessorImpl.set(Unknown Source) | at java.lang.reflect.Field.set(Unknown Source) | at org.jboss.aop.joinpoint.FieldWriteInvocation.invokeNext(FieldWriteInvocation.java:60) | at trace.TraceInterceptor.invoke(TraceInterceptor.java:173) | ... | Problem occurs on Windows XP: java version "1.5.0_04" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.5.0_04-b05) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.5.0_04-b05, mixed mode, sharing) Any idea of what am I doing wrong? Hi WHen i click "logout" of the portal menu, the portlet session is invalidated and redirect back to the home page. However, the request.getRemoteUser() still returns "admin". Is this correct? I expect the returned result of getRemoteUser() is null becaseu the session is invalidated. regards Yang View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3883446#3883446 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3883446 |

Check the settings for the DomainGroup MBean. The domain specified in the FROM address of the email should be in that list. Ok. I understand the problem well. Remoting allows for system property settings on the client already. What I am not getting is what this "more sophisticated name resolution" would be? I am just unaware of any mechanism to do this. If there are any, would love to know what they are and will try to implement it. Know this is a serious issue for those wanting to run fat clients using remoting in unknown environments. 550 is usually a "relay" error, meaning that you can't send to a remote domain if the sender domain (from the HELO and/or FROM) is not local. You would usually either allow relaying for authenticated clients, or ensure the sender domain is local (ie, corresponds to a local mailbox). Just a guess though... not sure how to configure this in JBoss. I committed an initial pass at the thirdparty-build.xml file. At this point it should be a very close representation of what is required to build the 4.0 branch. I am sure other adjustments will be required after generating the libraries.ent and attempting building (my next task) (e.g changing module names of hibernate & xdoclet). user instructions: mkdir test cd test cvs co -r Branch_4_0 jboss-4.0.x cd jboss-4.0 cd build ant -f build-thirdparty.xml cd ../thirdparty ls Ruel Loehr JBoss QA View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3883410#3883410 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3883410 |

Sorry - I prematurely hit the submit button and some lines in the wsdl file were not visible in my original post. I have preceded the closing '>' with an '*' to keep the lines from being processed - the wsdl file has NO '*>' chars in it at all. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <definitions targetNamespace="http://jbpm.org/examples/hello" xmlns:tns="http://jbpm.org/examples/hello" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:plt="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/05/partner-link/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/ http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/ http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/05/partner-link/ http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2003/05/partner-link/" xmlns="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/"> <!-- characterizes the relationship between the process and its caller --> <plt:partnerLinkType name="helloPLT"> <plt:role name="service"> <plt:portType name="tns:helloPT"/> </plt:role> </plt:partnerLinkType> <!-- carries the name of a person --> <message name="nameMessage"*> <part name="name" type="xsd:string"/*> </message*> <!-- carries the greeting --> <message name="greetingMessage"*> <part name="greeting" type="xsd:string"/*> </message*> <!-- describes the interface presented to callers --> <portType name="helloPT"*> <operation name="sayHello"*> <input message="tns:nameMessage"/*> <output message="tns:greetingMessage"/*> </operation*> </portType*> </definitions*> John View the original post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&p=3883409#3883409 Reply to the post : http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=posting&mode=reply&p=3883409 |
