When I try to configure the iTunes plugin on my OS X
machine running JavaHMO, I get the following pop-up
message:
"Could not update JavaHMO server"
Looking into the logs (gui.txt), I see the following line:
2005-01-22 10:18:44,763 ERROR [AWT-EventQueue-0]
JavaHMO - java.net.SocketException: Connection reset:
Could not reconfigure JavaHMO server at port 8081
And then any subsequent attempt to "Apply" my iTunes
settings results in:
2005-01-22 10:18:53,276 ERROR [AWT-EventQueue-0]
JavaHMO - java.net.ConnectException: Connection
refused: Could not reconfigure JavaHMO server at port 8081
I haven't yet dug into the server source to see if I
can understand what might be going on, but I should
mention that my iTunes setup is not 100% standard:
- My Music is all stored on a separate drive (i.e.
music folder location was changed in iTunes advanced
prefs).
Otherwise, for lack of docs, I was running the
javahmoctl as root (sudo) and navigating to choose my
iTunes music playlist xml file. There seemed to be no
problem adding & configuring the Images plugin.
Thanks for any help / suggestions.

I have a similar setup and I am also experiencing the same issue. The
other plug-ins seem to be working fine though (after I redirected the
iTunes plug-in).

same here, os x, my music files on another drive, same
error. Not sure how to dive into log files though to see if
the error is the same. I have the same error with any java
hmo plug in, not just itunes. None of it works for me...
