#10 cannot start local server

when start either galleon (I know, different project)
or javaHMO, the log fills with errors about not being
able to connect to localhost. I can ping localhost, so
I am at a loss as to what else the problem might be. If
you have any suggestions, I would be eager to hear
them, as these projects are WAY COOL!
