Had a problem where certain songs were not showing an
ID3 tag info on my Debian Linux box. I tried upgrading
the package 2.01 to version 2.1, with noeffect.

I finally discovered that on the songs that were having
issues if I removed the ID3v2 tag and forced it to use
the ID3v1 tag everything worked.

The MP3's were created using iTunes, and I suspect that
some of the information they put in the comments to
track music piracy may have played a role.

For right now I will just go in and tweak the ID3 tags
manually, but if this could be fixed so that I didn't
have to do this it would be appriated. Let me know if
you an example file to reproduce the issue.

There is a bug in the library that JavaHMO uses for
extracting the tags from MP3 files. If the files has IDv2
tags and doesnt have IDv1 tags, the library doesnt work. The
fix for now is to either use IDv1 tags or add IDv1 tags to
files that only have IDv2 tags.

In this particular case, the songs did have both ID3v1 and
ID3v2 tags. I am sure it is an issue with the library that
you call to read the ID tags though. Again, let me know if
you want to get an example file.

Your Yahoo mail account is bouncing my mail. Send me an
