About half of MP3s streamed from JavaHMO begin
playing on the Tivo with a loud popping/crackling noise
that could potentially damage stereo speakers. There is
no further problem with the streamed audio. The same
noise is not present when the music is streamed from
the Tivo supplied publisher software. I haven't been able
to figure out a pattern of file or song properties that
trigger the problem. It happens when the songs change
during normal play and when a song is skipped.

Audio bit rates range from 96 to 192 Kbit. Songs within
the same album or encoded with the same software do
not consistently exhibit the issue. There also does not
appear to be a correlation between fixed bitrate and
variable bitrate encodings and the noise.

JavaHMO version=1.2 with cinema/weather patch
JRE version=1.4
Operating system=Windows XP SP2
