Ya, the guy who runs Arkansas state cave survey has his cave database on a computer in his basement. It is to never be connected to a network or the internet.  This guy is also a retired lawyer and he is rich enough to have a very good security system on his house. He has been asked by people wanting to write books about caves in Arkansas and totally rejected them.
