using image export plugin

Hi Thomas,

As I promised, I am reposting the pure copy of my email here. ;-)

I am developing a UI prototype editor[1] based on Eclipse-GEF, and I need a solution to export my diagrams into PNG/JPEG. I came across with your Image Export plugin. Your code is clean and well designed. It seems to be the exactly right solution for me.

I would like to distribute my extension as a complete eclipse product package and updating it through a supporting update site. I prefer such a distribution because it is quite easy to install and update for the user. I am wondering if you mind if I redistribute your plugin within the product or via the update site (keeping all the copyright and reference information of course).

Hi Hakan, thanks for reposting and for your compliments, my students are usually bitching at me and my code :).  I absolutely do not mind inclusion of the Image Export plug-in on your update site, quite the contrary rather.  Aside from the legal aspect, namely that I wouldn't have a say in that (that's one of the points of the GPL, after all), I can only say thank you for being polite enough to ask.  May I ask you in return whether it would be ok to include your project in a "used by" list, should I include one in the next release (which is due soon, btw)?

Thanks for your courtesy. That is a great idea to cross-reference both projects. Though, I will let you know when integration is complete.
