New Forums

Ok, I took the time to go ahead and put up some new forums (I dislike sourceforge forums).

If people like it, it'll stay. If people prefer the sourceforge forums, we can always go back to that. Opinions/flames are always welcome. :)

Taking a little break

Well, real life has been calling lately, along with school and other projects (Source Mage GNU/Linux: http://www.sourcemage.org/ :)), so I have to put this project on hold for a while. At least it'll give me time to take a few C++/OOP classes and learn what the hell I'm doing. ;-)

Engine design plugging along!

Well, as you may have noticed, there has been no real coding after getting the connection code set up. I'm still doing all the design specs and stuff, and eventually I'll upload them into the docs section, and then we can get down and dirty with the real coding!

Remember, if you want to help out, get yourself on the devel list, and start discussing!

Welcome

Hi everybody! (Hi Dr. Xenith)

And welcome to Just Another MUD Engine (so I couldn't think of a better name at the moment). Right now we're in the planning phase, so feel free to help brainstorm on the devel list or in the forums.

I'm busy at work on the main descriptor code so that we have something that actually runs and we can connect to, so we can go into "alpha", but other than that, we're just thinking. ;-)... read more
