It would be nice to have such a tool available to us in the Beos community. We currently don't have a tool for compositing, and this would be extremely useful.

Not a valid option due to no QT port to beos. If you convince the trolls it should be easy.
Unfortunatly while BeOS is picking up again it's not likely to reach the level it was at before its demise.
