I'm observing the same behavior. I tried first with Xvid-encoded AVIs (from a hacked CVS videocamera), and assumed they were causing it, but got the same results with all media.
It's a very generic error naming jahshaka.exe as the module, and the offset as 0x0 (not much help, I know).
How do I help you figure out what's wrong?

I have exactly the same problem running Jahshaka on a PC running Win2K.
Seems Jahshaka is completely unusable in its current form?
