Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4253062 By: alex_khilov Hi guys, anyone could fix the issue of himself, just do this: 1. check the code out of CVS (net.sf.jadclipse project) 2. in JadclipseClassFileEditor class, line 101 do this: - remove whole line, - insert "IBuffer buffer = org.eclipse.jdt.internal.core.BufferManager.createBuffer(cf);" 3. compile class, 4. put new class into jadclipse's jar file. 5. Restart Eclipse. That's it ! Thanks, Alex. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Bugs item #1694135, was opened at 2007-04-04 11:25 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=427342&aid=1694135&group_id=40205 Please note that this message will contain a full copy of the comment thread, including the initial issue submission, for this request, not just the latest update. Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Arnauld Van Muysewinkel (arnauldvm) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Class file viewer locked by 'Java class file' content-type Initial Comment: Eclipse keeps on opening the standard class file viewer, and not the JadClipse one. I assume it is related to the following: When I go to Window / Preferences..., General / Editors / File Association, *.class, I see this: << Associated editor: JadClipse File Viewer (default) Class File Viewer (locked by 'Java Class File' content-type) >> When I go to to Window / Preferences..., General / Content Types, Java Class File, I see this: << File associations: *.class (locked) >> I've seen a similar problem on eclipse mailing list: http://dev.eclipse.org/newslists/news.eclipse.platform/msg41633.html but I couldn't find the bug report they're talking about on SF JadClipse BugTracker. Here is my config: Windows XP SP1 Java SDK 1.5.0_10 Eclipse 3.2.2 M20070212-1330 jad 158g JadClipse 3.2.4 (net.sf.jadclipse_3.2.4.jar) I followed the install procedure, i.e.: - copied jar to plugins directory - added jad home to path before starting Eclipse - started eclipse with -clean option - checked that Window / Preferences... / Java / JadClipse / Path to Decompiler is set to the fullpath of jad.exe - checked the file association (but see above) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=427342&aid=1694135&group_id=40205 |

Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4141738 By: pengl i have just installed JadClipse 3.2.4 and JAD 1.5.8g for Eclipse 3.2.0 and have also the same problem. my experience shows that it does work but just for .class file which belongs to jar-file and was already added in the Java Build Path per Library Definition of your project. In this way it works then perfect :-) ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4121490 By: marcelstoer I know, there a quite a few threads about this topic here. However, I wasn't able to digest what version of Jadclipse/JAD I have to use to avoid any troubles. Thanks for your feedback! ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4120730 By: bitbender I unpacked the downloaded .jar and put the result in the plugins directory thusly: C:\Program Files\IBM\Rational\SDP\6.0\eclipse\plugins\net.sf.jadclipse_3.2.4 01/23/2007 03:39 PM <DIR> . 01/23/2007 03:39 PM <DIR> .. 01/23/2007 03:39 PM <DIR> icons 01/23/2007 03:39 PM <DIR> META-INF 01/23/2007 03:39 PM <DIR> net 01/24/2007 02:37 PM 21 plugin.properties 01/24/2007 02:45 PM 2,855 plugin.xml C:\Program_Files\IBM\Rational\SDP\6.0\eclipse\plugins\net.sf.jadclipse_3.2.4\net \sf\jadclipse\JadclipseClassFileEditor.class ("_" represents space) Brought up RAD 6.0, went to Workbench Preferences and tried to set up a new association for .class files. The Jadclipse Class File Editor does not appear in the list of internal applications. So I modified the plugin.xml file to more closely resemble other plugins, replacing the simple <plugin> line: <plugin id="net.sf.jadclipse" name="Jadclipse class file editor" version="3.2.4" provider-name="Pavel Kouznetsov" class="net.sf.jadclipse.JadclipseClassFileEditor"> That didn't help; I still can't see the plugin in the list. Any ideas? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4090139 By: a5sk4s I'm experiencing the same problem with JadClipse 3.2.4, JAD 1.5.8g, Eclipse 3.2.1 (Build id: M20060921-0945), Java 1.6 (build 1.6.0-b105) on Windows 2000 SP 4. None of the above suggestions, nor following the troubleshooting section made any difference. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. When I try to access the preference pages for JadClipse, I get "Unable to create the selected preference page. Reason: Plug-in net.sf.jadclipse was unable to load class net.sf.jadclipse.ui.JadClipsePreferencePage...". Are these errors related to the "missing" feature dir? Thx, Tony ton...@at... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2006-12-23 18:56 Message: Logged In: NO I installed version 3.2.4 and that fixed the problem. However, I still cannot use JadClipse to view .class files. I get the same result as when I choose the built-in class file viewer. I have the path to jad.exe explicitly defined (fully-qualified) and the directory for temporary files does exist. Initial Comment: Hi there, Very nice job on this decompiler plug-in! I'm just trying it out, and it's worked great so far. One comment/feature request: how about re-using in JadClipse the code generation/formatting preferences already defined elsewhere in Eclipse? You can get hold of some preferences by calling JavaPreferencesSettings.getCodeGenerationSettings() which returns a CodeGenerationSettings instance. Still in org.eclipse.jdt.internal.ui.preferences, you can also look at CodeFormatterPreferencesPage and JavaEditorPreferencePage for starting points. Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Johann Gyger (jgyger) Date: 2006-12-23 13:24 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=7927 Originator: NO Implemented in version 3.2.2 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Renaud Waldura (renaudw) Date: 2002-09-10 23:03 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=609291 Once again, I'm the original reporter of this bug, and I'm hoping this time SF picks up my identity. Jad has many more options than JDT formatting/generations, but those that match can be optionally inferred from them.
