Hola, all. I would greatly appreciate it if everyone working on *any* aspect of jACT-R (/PM, IDE, ACT-R/S) would subscribe to the developer mailing list. Now that there is actually more than one person, coordination and effective communication are fairly important. Now for some updates. To better support multiple users, I've begun a fairly lengthy process of package, class, and interface reorganizations. The biggest of these being the introduction of the RealityInterface classes (doc/RealityInterface.doc for a description). This is now the backbone of the perceptual & manual interfaces. Both of these systems have been reimplemented, and partially tested. Hopefully I will get a chance to test them fully soon. Next up, I've been gradually going through the high-level interfaces trying to document them in a somewhat intelligent manner and removing unnecessary methods and fields. Thank god for Eclipse's dynamic compiling. It's enabled me to make the necessary corrections throughout the entire source tree. It is unlikely that there will be any major API changes from here on out. Maybe a method here or there, but the major changes have happened. If anything else changes, or someone things something should be changed - jactr-developer is the venue for it. In support of this, the build.xml (for ant) has a build task to generate the javadocs. It will create a tree of javadocs under {jACT-R}/javadoc. One for the core interfaces, one for the current gui, one for the reality interface (since it requires so much explaining) and one for the default implementations of everything. If, as you are looking through some of the code, you come across something that I have not documented particularly well (which is likely) - bounce me a line and I'll explain it to you and then cut and paste my answer into the javadocs. ================================================= "The unexamined life isn't worth living; however, the over-examined life isn't living."
