First off- thanks for the fantastic job over the past few years; JabRef was the tool that enabled me to stop working in MSW and switch back to LaTeX.
Minor bug: I recently upgraded to Mac OS 10.6.3 then 10.6.4; the same JabRef issue appears in both. The "Spaces" feature (multiple desktop windows with a System Preferences tool to assign applications permanently to a specific window) does not allow JabRef 2.6 to be added to the list of applications. In short: While running JabRef 2.6 in Desktop window 6 (of 9), I select System Preferences => Exposé and Spaces, then in the window under "Application Assignments", I click the "+" button and select JabRef. Nothing happens. All other applications (e.g., TeXShop, Opera, Chrome, TextWrangler…) behave as expected.
I suspect that this is related to the problems I have with being unable to assign BibTeX (.bib) files to open JabRef by double-clicking, and the similar problem that when I assign a specific file or all .bib files to be opened by JabRef, this doesn't stick. I.e., double-clicking a .bib file for a document I'm working on does not launch JabRef; I must launch JabRef then manually open the file from within the JabRef => File => Open menu.

Does this still persists in Mac OS X El Capitan with the newest JabRef version?
