When setting up a user-specific directory (File -> Database properties), JabRef records the information using a line such as:
%%%%%
@comment{jabref-meta: fileDirectory-username@computername:/home/username
/Documents/Biblio/username;}
%%%%%

The @ character between username and computername raises the following BibTeX error:
%%%%%
I was expecting a {' or a('---line 133 of file myownbib.bib
/Documents/Biblio/username;}
(Error may have been on previous line)
I'm skipping whatever remains of this entry
%%%%%

Also there should be no relevant information to BibTeX after this line (so, the output should be ok), I believe it would be a good practice not to raise an error (and some scripts may stop the compilation after detecting the error, disturbing the user workflow).

Beta 2.10 compiled from git sources on Wed April 10
But bug present in 2.9.2 too.

    Seems identical to bug report #1153
    https://sourceforge.net/p/jabref/bugs/1153/)

    Yes, and I think Thomas Arildsen is on it.
