the drawtool file, shifting-text.drt, reproduces the
situation.
to observe the phenomena,
1) open the file:
## drawtool shifting-text.drt
2) observe the relative alignment of the two phrases
with respect to the giant cross-hair (which is the size
of and center on the page).
3) make a benign change, such as square's color
4) Ctrl-s (save)
5) Ctrl-q (quit)
6) reopen the saved file:
## drawtool shifting-text.drt
7) observe that the lower phrase has shifted downward.
the phrase shifts because the value of first argument
of the text directive does not match the phrase's
font's size.
text(10,"This text shifts downward." :fillbg 0
:fgcolor "Black",0,0,0 :font
"-adobe-helvetica-medium-r-normal--18-*","Helvetica",18
:transform 1,0,0,1,422,543),
To stop the shifting
A) open the file in drawtool
B) select the shifting phrase
C) change its font to another size
D) change it back
E) save the file
In the process, drawtool will have set the 1st parm
value to the point size
