there is already one example included in the archive: IVT/examples/HSVColorSegmentationApp.
It is a relatively complex application, including lots of GUI elements. But I think, if you search for the string "m_pObjectFinder" in ObjectFinderOrganizer.cpp, you'll find the relevant calls quite fast.
