I've been warned.

I'm reworking the handling of lexical scope so I might also find
myself touching elab_sig.cc and elaborate.cc somewhat. For the
moment though I'm deep in the parse.y and pform*.{h,cc} files.
(I should catch up on the outstanding patches submitted too.)
