I have installed teemip-core-ip-mgmt, teemip-ip-discovery, teemip-core-ip-mgmt, teemip-ip-discovery-collector, and combodo-data-collector-for-vsphere.
I first ran the vsphere discovery, then the ip-discovery collector. For the life of me I cannot understand why IP addresses with PTR records in DNS are not showing up in IP Management -> IPv4 Shortcuts -> Subnets -> <ip subnet=""> -> <specific IP Address). There is no Short hostname, Domain, FQDN or FQDN from IP lookup</ip>
IP addresses that are not associated with a CI are broken out in the IP Address record (Short hostname, Domain, FQDN). If the IP address shows as 'allocated' to a CI is linked in the record, the (Short hostname, Domain, FQDN) are not populated. There is also no menu option to 'Explode the FQDN'
The CI must be deleted. Then the IP address must be deleted. The IP discovery can be reinitialized or activated with --synchro_only to repopulate the IP into the Subnet. However, the Short hostname, Domain, FQDN are still not populated. However there is now an FQDN associated with FQDN from IP lookup
Only now the Explode discovered FQDN' menu option is available. When Explode discovered FQDN is executed the record is correctly populated with the host and domain information.
Why aren't the IP Management records populated with what is discovered? What is interfering with the population if the IP address record with a CI is associated with the IP address record.
