We have no recommendation, we are offering a choice and it's up to you to see what is important for your organization. A rather stable and safe 2.7.x LTS version, with no evolution or a 3.0 STS with a more modern look, which will last for a year roughly and will force you to upgrade again to 3.1 which is another STS version, then beginning of 2024, there is a fair chance that a new LTS comes out, also this is not yet officially decided.
