First of all, thanks to the people of Combodo for this great software.
We are deploying itop in our organization today after 3 weeks of testing.
We only needed to modify a few things to adapt the system to our requirements.
The only suggestion I have is to include a location hierarchy for the phisical devices.
I can create a great organization hierarchy and absolute locations, but, is a little difficult to find a computer when the organization have lots of places to "put" things.
The "location" item looks more an address associated to something and not a physical location inside (as an example) a building.
Here is an example: we have a particular computer PC001 in "Organization 1 LTD."
I think we should see this information when I look the computer info
PC001 > Finances Office > Administration Buildings > Plant 1 (and "Plant 1" have an address associated)
This example works great if I want to associate the computer to the Organization hierarchy.
There is a plan to add something like this in the future?
I will try to create a custom field for this case but could be a good field to add in the future.
Again, thank you very much

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
I'd second that suggestion.
To get around this in our organization we implemented an "Extended Location" object which is linked to Location. Extended Location tracks the existing facility location identifiers which is then linked to Location.

Are you able to explain how you achieved this? Did you extend the Data Model?
thanks
