    Folks,

First let me thank you for the great work. Version 2 is amazing!

I have tried customizing the data model by modifying the appropriate xml and php (translation) files. If I do it in a alive environment nothing happens, if I do it before the initial setup my changes are "somehow" compiled into the installation and even the database table has my changes. I assume that's what happening when the frontend says "Compiling"…

So what do I need to do to compile my changes when iTop has been installed? It is so easy now to change these things - if I would know how to compile….

    Thanks!

We know, but I'm asking you to be a bit more patient. We're now working hard to hunt the (hopefully last) remaining bugs out of iTop v2.0 and the documentation is lagging a bit behind.

There will be some documentation about how to customize iTop and a new "Toolkit" with a "compile" button to refresh your iTop instance in 1 click…

In the mean time you can re-run the setup everytime, but I admit that it is painful.

It's actually not a big deal - I'm updating the data model xml and translation php's and then re-run setup pretending I would be doing an upgrade. This way I can keep all my data and other changes…

I'm happy to announce that the Toolkit V2 is available (as a Christmas gift !).

The documentation is not yet complete (will it ever be?), but a first version with the XML reference is on-line:

    Enjoy !
