I am writing to you with a personal request. We are a tiny internet service provider in Austria with several hundrets of business customers and several thousands of private customers. Being an ISP, some equipment (such as modems or set-top boxes) is typically located at our customer's site. Thus, we are having a huge number of similar modems with probably some differing configurations (e.g. bandwidth). Is there any possibility in iTop to create some sort of "hardware-templates"? The second aspect I am wondering about is the organization-thing in iTop. As far as I understood it, an organization is only able to have organizations as customers. However, to us, it would be far more helpful to make the organization (and also the location) optional, so that contracts to private customers can be linked to persons while contracts to business customers remain to be linked with the organization.
Does anyone of you have experience when dealing with both private and business customers? Any help and guideance would be highly appreciated.
