    Hello
I've just migrated my iTop-1.2 CMDB to iTop2. But the virtualization model is not enabled (no question/choice during upgrade process).
So I would like to ask you if there is a way how to enable additional/requested data models for current iTop2 version? I know that there was "toolkit" for itop-1.2 for preserving correct database tables/structure according configuration from files. Is there "toolkit" pack also for itop2?

    thank you.

There actually is a toolkit for iTop2. The link below will take you to the Data Customization page. At the top you should see a yellow box with a link to the toolkit for iTop2. And I know you said you went through the upgrade process, but have you tried going through it again now that you are actually on iTop2? It may not work but I know you have to go through the upgrade process when you add new module, perhaps there is an option now that would allow you to add the virtualization model in. If not the only other things I can think is possibly copy and pasting the data model folders from an iTop2 config into your current config and then rerunning the upgrade process. No guarantee that will work though and might hurt your iTop environment!

    Hi tgwilliams,
thank you for your answer. I finally know the difference between iTop versions and iTop data model versions. So I finally know what I need to do: following this guide: http://www.combodo.com/wiki/doku.php?id=admin:1_to_2_upgrade
First step (migration one DB part using provided SQL script) is done, I can see documents, persons, etc... in new iTop 2.0 with data model 2.0.
But the second step is not clearly described. There is first part with exporting existing objects from iTop data model 1.3 (done, no problem), but I've problem with importing. As I understand I need to modify field names in exported CSV according defined mapping. But there is missing any example of this part. When I just import CSV from previous step, I've got error "UI:Error:InvalidDashboardFile" which is logical - I've not done any modifications. But I dont know how way I need to do those attribute modyfications.

Please is there any explanatory guide with exporting/importing CSV's between iTop data models?

    thank you

The only thing that I can think of is that on the page you linked me there is a list of mappings at the bottom. Some of the fields change when you go from source to destination (old database to new database). Maybe if you change the names of those fields to match the destination fields before you do the export, the import might go a bit smoother. I am not too sure though. Sorry I can't be of more help.
