Hi there,

iTerm is a great little app, and adding support for
connecting to serial devices seems to be a natural
extension of this sort of program. That's exactly what
I am looking for. Please consider adding support for
connecting to serial devices.

We are getting this request a lot, but can't you just run minicom inside iTerm?

Minicom doesn't come with the Mac (it isn't on mine, at least). I think having a
serial function built into iTerm would increase its usefulness, and other than
coding up extra stuff to handle baud rate, parity, port selection, etc, I don't think
it would be very difficult to tie in.

    Please consider it!

I concur.. I use zTerm now and its not a universal binary.. having iTerm support serial connectivity would be awesome.

Has there been any developement on this? I'm looking for an all-in-one program so I don't have to use zterm.
