I think album art should be copied to the player if desired,
and have the option to choose where to store the file, and
what format to save it in. This would be handy for Rockbox
enabled players with the album art patch, so you can copy
the file as COVER.bmp in the album folder automatically.
As a measure in the meantime, why not add hte option to
ignore certain filetypes, such as .jpg and .bmp?
Hope this gets implemented!

If this gets implemented, please make sure the user gets a choice as to whether or not the album art is uploaded. A lot of MP3 players don't support album art, so it would be a waste of disk space for those devices.

By the way, p72endragon, in iTunes, the album art is included in the MP3 file - so on certain players (Eg. Sony PSP) it's already there. So maybe we also need the option to strip the album art out to save some space on players that don't support it at all.
