Trying initial download of all mailboxes in my iCloud IMAP account to the local Maildir and there is a lot of hangs with mbsync. Arch linux (latest) + isync 1.2.0-1 official package.
When I created this strace logs, mbsync hanged often for a long time. Now (after initial download of all big IMAP folders), mbsync works without hangs and much better than imapsync (python). So, if there is no interesting details in strace logs for you, you can close this issue.

i don't see anything that would be cause for concern. please elaborate on what you're seeing and what you'd expect instead.

ok, i'll just assume that the "hangs" you mean are simply big mails and/or TCP delays due to lost packets.
