Hi Peter, I played with Jtracker e-mail interface, and although it worked fine, I did not felt confortable with the concept. For one, We need the gateway to be usable by any of our users, meaning that the user don't need to know what section, type, is their issue part of, they just need to know about an e-mail address to send their issue to... When the e-mail get's in the system, the user name is simply whatever is left of the "@" of his e-mail. It will be assigned default values for section, type and urgency. Then a group of technician (registered in the notfyables) received and e-mail with a link to the new Issue, and that one of them take ownership of it, and changes it's attributes if need be. About the html, personnally, I would strip it out if present. But overall it should be made very simple for the user, otherwise they will not use it. And with the mail reply function already present in your product, the end user might not even need to access the web interface of the product.
