Hi, your tool was reviewed in german computer magazine
c't. Because we maintain a Java application that
connects to several standard SQL databases by JDBC,
your tool interested me.

So far I used it only with the Oracle thin driver
contained in classes111.zip. Unfortunately working with
your tool is not very satisfying. I randomly get
"QLException :: (E/A-Exception: Protokollverletzung,
sqlcode=17002, sqlstate=null)" when I am sure Oracle
status and connection is fine. At the same time Oracle
SQL Plus gives no error.

I also got this error "SQLException :: (E/A-Exception:
Typlδnge grφίer als Hφchstwert, sqlcode=17002,
sqlstate=null)" when again it works SQL Plus.

Sometimes when I restart isqlviewer it works then.

    This is an ORA-17002 error which means the connection was
    reset by a peer. Now which peer is really the question.

    I would try using the ojdbc14.jar and see if you get the
    same results.

    Thanks for the reply. I want to use the same JDBC drivers as
    our own app because I want to have the exact behaviour as in
    our own app. Our app has used the (I agree very old)
    classes111.zip for years without any problems.
