Some newer publications cannot have an ISBN-10, namely those that have an ISBN-13 with a 979 prefix. Currently we are displaying useless ISBN-10s for these publications. So far they are mostly benign as there has not been an overlap with a real ISBN-10 (that I can find; I am sure eventually this will change). It seems like searching is not broken in this way and does the right thing (I tried searching for the bogus ISBN-10s and they were not found) but it might be useful to check the code to make sure.
This is an example: http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/pl.cgi?582866 which displays the ISBN-10 of "1-03-070021-4"
