One of the packed numeric fields in the file I was testing is defined as 22,4. I shortened the field to 13,4 and had no further problem.
I like this tool. May I suggest improving error trapping so that the command issues an error message and the job ends?
I have a patch that should be propagated to all mirrors by 6am CDT that resolves this issue.
I am using v5r1 version because we are at v5r2. Will this patch be available for the v5r1 version?
any patches I make will be applied to both versions of the package until support is discontinued for that version.
