Would it be possible to add a telephone number field to the ticket database? I'd use it for the
'author' field so that me or one of my technicnians could have a reasonable call back field. A 24
character straight text field would be plenty, as well as a field on the ticket entry screens so that
we can add it when we put in the author field.

Couldn't this info just be plugged into the work request or
a followup?

When I requested these changes to IRM three years ago, I
didn't get any response. I added the feature myself. For
example, this one gets stored as part of the existing fields,
but shows up on the forms as a separate data item.
