Hi,
I am running iRiverter 0.16 under Windows XP Pro SP2.
The conversion runs fine, if a little slow. I run the
conversion over night. The video results on my iRiver
H340 are usually very good. However, the audio volume
is inadequate. I want to watch and listen to the video
on the train. I have noise cancelling headphones which
cut low frequency noise. However, even with the iRiver
H340 volume set at 40, standard speech from a
converted DVD is just too quiet to hear. Now, when I
listen to a converted music CD (Grip or MS Windows
MEdia Player 10), I don't have to set the volume to
higher than 32 on the H340 to hear the music on even
the noisiest train.
Can there be an "audio boost" setting on iRiver to
increase the volume of the audio on the avi file by,
say 10dB, or whatever, to make the sound level
equivalent to that from a converted CD?
Thanks
Clive
