#20 Crash while "Gathering Information About DVD"

If I select "new DVD" (Shift Ctrl V or the icon), the
app opens a new "Gathering Information About DVD
Window." The DVD drive spins up for about two seconds,
and then stops spinning. The what is apparently a
progress bar on the "Gathering..." window does not move.

If I click the top right X to close, the app crashes
("An unhandled exception...").

Log file is attached. This is version 0.16, Win XP,
Thinkpad T42, first time iriverter was installed on
this machine. Another app (Intervideo WinDVD) plays
the movie fine.

the dvd is not readable,maybe due to scrach or dirt on the
surface which gives a null pointer excepton.
